About

I am Gagan Aryan. 20 year old. Programmer. Occassional writer (I write for myself and I hope to post stuff online very soon). Logophile. Bibliophile. And an absolute for sucker for tough tech and business problems. I am a senior Computer Science undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. After multiple sessions of introspection I have come to realise that I am excited about the trifecta - technology, startups and strategy.

During this summer I worked at Oracle. I automated a periodic task that reduced the human efforts of around 7 teams by nearly 8-10 hours. Prior to this, I was lucky to have worked with an amazing team at Blaze AI during their time at the YCombinator W22. I shipped production code for the pilots on a daily basis while I was there. The summer before that I was an Open Source Developer for Radis in the Google Summer of Code ‘21 program. I even had a short stint at starting up and was able to build a not so bad MVP for poshle.com (In a parallel universe, 20 year old me is changing the way people travel with this idea). If you would like to know more about the work I did in my internships and my side projects, my resume and my github are probably a good place.

I like to believe that I am a data-driven - a guy who makes decisions based on numbers but also isn’t ignorant to the potential pitfalls statistics poses at times. I also like to believe I am capable of taking raw emotions out of the equation in almost every situation(I believe this is a good thing).

Blogging and writing, in general, is one of those things I have wanted to do for a long time now. I will try my best to make blogging a habit and post now and then.
